[RC] Post rattlesnake trauma to body. - Winter, Randy or Cheryl

Had to chime in on the rattlesnake post going on. We have some friends who
had two horses get rattlesnake bit. The one must have gotten the biggest
load of the venom. Anyway even after the horse "recovered" they were warned
of higher risk for colic because of the way the venom can affect the guts.
Also this horse came up with very serious cardiac problems later that CSU
confirmed and said was probably related to the original bite. Ultimately
the horse was put down because they said it would never to safe to stress
with riding. Don't know all the specifics, but just wanted to say that
sometimes the internal damage to other organs etc. can be more than one
thinks. Just an FYI.
