Re: [RC] Garmin 201 ?S - Kristen A. Fisher

THANKS to all and your suggestions on this gadget. I am a "if it don't work out of the box what the hell" kind of person, so I had to be patient. It was worth it.
I finally got the GPS to track satellites. The so-so news is, my guy's walk is 4 mph (I thought it was 5). The good news is his "trail" trot (that I mostly feel pretty comfortable with) is 10 mph. His FAST trot (that I can only do for a very short time) is 12 mph. I am not sure where everyone else is, and I only do LDs now, but this reassures me that we can inded do 25s without a lot of fanfare (if I can stay on, but that's another stoyr).

I could throw out the gadget now and be pretty happy. I just love my horse!

OK so I finally got the Forerunner to track satellites (if you get one, make sure the first time you turn it on when it asks you "Have you traveled 100s of miles since the last use" say YES - it tracked in about 10 mins after that).

BUT I do not know how to read the speed/pace. It appears to be in MINUTES / MILE and I want to know MILES / HOUR.

Any ideas??
