[RC] farrier woes and movies - amyOH how I can understand the problem of finding a good farrier. I board at a large barn and the farrier there *can* be good, however if he is in a hurry, has a bunch of horses to do or in a bad mood then you get shoes that fall off and he has no patience if your horse even moves. Needless to say I won't use him. But good luck to me to get a farrier to come out to a big barn knowing he won't have most of the business. I finally found one who will come out within a week of being called, will be on time and does a good job. Only slightly more expensive too. I would not be able to use him if I had a really special case but so far my horse has very nice feet. PLEASE DO invite Vigo Mortenson to an endurance ride! I bet he is one of the only actors that would have a chance of making it through. Of course he might be riding at a fast pace just to get away from the trail of adoring women!!
