Bottom line – you would get a grey,100% of the time.As for the base color of the foal, it would depend on the base color of
the grey:
Chestnut w/o the agouti (bay) allele:black turn grey foal
Chestnut w/ the agouti (bay) allele: either a black turn grey or a
chestnut turn grey foal
Bay, heterozygous: either a black turn grey or a bay turn grey
foal
Bay, homozygous: bay turn grey
Black: black turn grey foal
