[RC] Black horses and the Old Egyptian saying - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

I have always heard from *true* black breeders, and DID read somewhere (can't
remember), "the blackest black comes from grey".

Arabian foals born is mousey in color, WILL be black. If it is born black, it
is not going to be a true black when it sheds out, or grows up. It will be any
of the other colors, depending on the color of the sire and dam. Mousey -
black, black - who knows. You can tell the color when they begin to shed
around their eyes, nose, and tail. This is for purebred arabians, not part
breds.  Different story.
