I don't care if I get a buckle (well the Tevis buckle is pretty cool :) or a t-shirt...I just want to ride it. In my opinion, if you don't have that basic drive, you won't do 100s. This is the thing that separates endurance from other sports. There has to be that basic sense of accomplishment, because there is no cheering crowd, no applause, no one fawning at your feet for your great accomplishment. It is something that you have to judge for yourself--you pit yourself and your horse against the trail, the mountain, the elements, and you take the satisfaction of victory over those things home with you in your heart.
