[RC] Triple Crown apology - rides2farJust got back to thinking about how this Triple Crown thread got started. You had a woman who took her horse out and did three *really* tough 100's in one year. Then you had another who has done a *lot* of tough 100's (they're her specialty and she's *good* at it) who declared her a completer of the "Triple Crown"...then a bunch of us who have probably never managed to complete *any* 3 100's in one year debate what a real triple crown is. I feel dumb. If Karen Clark calls anything a Triple Crown, I'll agree. Congratulations to the woman who accomplished it!!! SERA has an award for the member who completes any 3 100's in one year. It's a monogrammed winter blanket and I do not believe they have given many of them out at all. I tried twice, and twice I did 2 100's and had a pull at 80. You've only got a few seasons to try with one horse while he's at his peak, then it's back to square one. I *really* want one of those blankets.
