Re: [RC] Triple Crown - rides2farI think a triple crown should include three of the toughest 100's in the country. Tough is relative. You're considering "tough" mountains, rocks, etc. I like mountain rides and mountain horses, and the photos of those places look "tough" but I also know that *winning* a race on flat, deep sand in the heat against superior competition requiring *speed* is another form of tough. The Triple Crown of TB races is 3 different distances and requires a horse that can show speed in the Preakness and stamina in the Belmont. Maybe a triple crown should require three *different* types of courses? That said, any horse that won OD, Big Horn, & Tevis would definately prove they were the kings of the mountain horses.
