The so called Aussie  tie ring you are asking about, are not Aussie. They were 
designed by A man named Blocker in Portland, Oregon. Called the Blocker Tie 
Ring. They do work well. They are designed for the Natural horseman, using the 
rope halter. Go to blocker tie ring  search on internet. The first time I saw 
one was in Portland @ PNER Convention.
