RE: [RC] Barn/Fencing suggestions (long) - Charles

We ended up with the same wind tunnel effect. It's keeping us cool in the
summer. The only thing I would change is that next time we are getting
bigger windows (normal house sized windows) and a roof vent.

Lif's suggestion is an excellent one. Even though we had lived on our
property for around 25 years when we replaced the old barn with a new one,
we sited it in such a way that with the sliding doors at each end open and
in certain kinds of weather, there is a wind tunnel effect strong enough to
blow a contractor's wheelbarrow end over end the length of the hall. We
could have used the same pad, but turned the barn sideways or even
diagonally and not spent the last 15 years having to decide when to close
those heavy doors.

I was actually able to purchase some property and if all goes well,

we want to do it "right." So, I'm looking for input.

My advice to you is to beg, borrow or steal an RV or trailer or tent
and spend lots of time camping on the property in various locations at
various
times of the year before you make any decisions about anything.
