RE: [RC] [RC] Silver Comet Trail - Laurie DurginWe rode part of it before they paved the middle for bicyles. You can ride in Paulding county(not cobb or polk)--Starting at I think Hwy61 & 278 at the county chamber of commerce. and you can go to "van Wert" (I think I figured 21 or 27 miles if you can ride the whole horse part.)haven't been on it since the original ride. Had heard in the beginning that some bikers were trying to scare the horses off from anotherriderwho had trouble with a few. I was planning on giving it another try if I got company or went with sons on bikes...Parking lots can be full on weekends. There is a web site for it . I think you can just do a search for 'Silver Comet Trail" and it comes up with maps and such. There are bathrooms and water available , it was a nice ride.....There is a covered tunnel with lights and a trestle. You must dismount at bridges. From: Ridecamp Guest <guest-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [RC] Silver Comet Trail Date: Sun, 19 Sep 2004 20:47:08 GMT _________________________________________________________________ Don?t just search.
