Re: [RC] heating small space - Elin PendletonI lived in a windowless VW van in the 70s during the winter, (ski nut), and my heat was one of those round (about 10" diameter) kerosene heaters. Catalytic heaters they called 'em, I think.I had a roof skylite, which opened, and would crack one of the windows in the cab area about an inch, and had insulated curtains between the cab and the back (it had a back window that didn't open). And that heater kept me nice and warm--tee shirt inside weather--while it was blizzarding and minus many degrees out doors. Pictures here: http://www.elinart.com/pages/elinperson.html down at the bottom. The ventilation was mandatory due to it taking oxygen to work, but the cold air would come in the cab, down under the folds of the curtain, and be heated along the floor where the heater was, and rise up and out the vent. On low, it would run all night, needing filling only after two or three nights. A bonus side effect was that I kept a tea pot on the grilled wire top and always had hot water!
