Re: [RC] Fw: Alive in the panhandle - Glenda R. SnodgrassI live in downtown Mobile, Alabama and feel extremely fortunate that Ivan jigged east at the last minute and went up the other side of Mobile Bay, putting my house on the west side of the eye, which is the "easy" side. The yard is a mess and we've lost everything in the fridge & freezer from extended power outage, but thankfully no real damage to the house or truck. No flooding at all down here. I haven't heard from my barnowner yet about my trailer and tack, as they are on the side that got hit hardest and many roads are not yet passable. Fortunately I don't have a horse down here right now (Tina Hicks took Tony for me when I broke my arm 6 weeks ago). It was a -very- wild ride Wed night! It's incredible how these old houses up on piers dance and sway with the wind. I'm glad it's over now, hope the cleanup won't take too long, and look forward to getting my cast off this week so I can bring my horse down and start riding again. -- Glenda R.
