Re: [RC] Bask line as endurance horse? - Truman Prevatt
One of the most impressive statues at the Kentucky is of Bask. It is
huge. Of course is not as big as the one of Man of War not is in as
prime of a location but it's a pretty good size - hit it's a lot taller
than me - statue and good location, that is for an Arab ;-).
Actually I have two horses on the place with some Bask - neither is the
one I ride now. He's pure Egyptian and is a big believer in the Jihad
against the infidel - which I think is what he considers me when I ride
him from his spooks.

I'm looking at a 31/2 year old bey gelding as my new
endurance prospect and I'm looking for some input as he will be a long
term project. I looked up his pedigree and he has a lot of Bask in his
bloodlines and I was wondering if anyone has had experience with the
bask line as endurance horses.
We bought a young 3 year old that was "halter broke" a bit of a stretch
there. He has great big feet, and big legs. A very good brain. He is
just starting out, and goes back to Bask several times. I absolutely
love him. Fairly correct, just a touch long throughout. He has done
over 700 Endurance miles.
And he is pretty too!
