Would a bear sh*t in the woods?  Our horses will eat date palms from 
the bark to the leaves and the dates just get inhaled. Of course they 
prefer them fresh off the trees when they are crisp and juicy, but they 
will also inhale the soft mushy ones that get sold in the stores, date 
cookies, and what we call agwa which is what the inside of date cookies 
are made of.
