Re: [RC] Flea-bitten - LaBrake, Denise AHi Chip, I understand what you went through, my Arab mare does the same thing. When I first got her at 5 she had only a couple spots of red. Now, at 10 she as about 50. You are right, she becomes very white in the winter. I refer to her as my "White" mare not gray. Here name is Lace, we call her "White Lace". Soon I will have to change that to "Freckled Lace" :) This is funny, and you all can laugh at me, Enjoy! At first I thought the term "flea bitten" was a result of fly bites. I thought they were actually scars from the bites. Dahhhh....NOT! Part of becoming a horse owner and learning the about them includes finding yourself embarassed now and then because you don't know what the heck is going one. That is why I vowed from the start to let everyone know how GREEN I was and still am in certain areas. Thanks for sharing.
