RE: [RC] [RC] Peeing in the stall - Laurie DurginLitter box training. I swear they are litterbox training us humans. Mine will do that too, and since my mare will also go pee on the leftover roundbales, I think it falls into the catagory or they don't want to get themselves wet( irritation after all), so they find somewhere where it is cushy and go--hence the stall. I sometimes preempt it by not putting bedding on my mats, and they will come in for shelter, but not to pee as much.As soon as I put bedding down thick, they try to do the litter box thing. I try to not let it stay in there as then they all use it as a toilet. If I shut it off for a few days they seem to break the cycle. Just like they all go in the same spot in the turnout, occasionally changing to a new spot every so often....From: RBluebirdpr@xxxxxxx To: ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [RC] Peeing in the stall Date: Sat, 11 Sep 2004 19:41:32 EDT _________________________________________________________________ FREE pop-up blocking with the new MSN Toolbar ? get it now! http://toolbar.msn.click-url.com/go/onm00200415ave/direct/01/ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
