I know that it may be a little farther west than you might have planned,
but for anyone trying to get out of the path of the storm, I have 400 acres,
most fenced (and hotwire goes up real fast if we need more and the horses have
already seen it!) and 2 barns that you are welcome to come use. It's
nothing fancy, I'm just trying to get it into shape now, but the trees are big,
the grass is gorgeous, and it should be out of the path of the storm. I
can even provide accommodations for a few stallions if you need (pasture/lot,
not just stalls, or dry lot if you think the grass may be too rich...).
Horse folks have always helped me out (we're military, so we move
everywhere....) and I'd be glad to help ya out if I can. We can even find
ya places to sleep or park campers if you need. We're located in
Leesville, Louisiana (just outside of Fort Polk). Call, and if we're out
of phone reach, leave a message and I'll get back to ya quick as I can.
(Just bring the horses papers and some feed!)
