Re: [RC] Noisy Ponderosa Trailer - Tina RushingNancy wrote: The one thing I really don't like, however, is that this particular trailer, a Ponderosa, is really REALLY noisy. Any solutions anyone? Is the noise caused by banging and rattling dividers? I had an inexpensive trailer, bought new, that was very noisy. I was able to reduce much of the noise by making rubber (neoprene?) shims and using them as "bumpers" on the divider pins, including the removable divider between the horse area and the walk-in tack area. With the dividers snugged up and cushioned it was MUCH improved. The material was scavenged, original use unknown. Shims were still effective after 7 years (trailer sold). Cheap and easy. If you're not a pack-rat and don't have any scavenged rubber cached in your garage check the plumbing supply section for commercial products (washers?) that might do the same job.
