I guess it boils down to this: I believe that successful endurance horses come about as a result of more than just picking a horse out of a bunch that looks good.


The reason I believe this is because I have eyes that can see, and I have empathy for other living beings. In the real world, horses that aren't suitable for the sport experience pain, they suffer, they even die for bad human choices. To me that's not trivial. To me that's worth being more precise about terminology, and discussing choices and and finding what facts there are out there to base the choices on.

And so yes, it's true, I'm irritated, but I sure don't think its unreasonable.
