[RC] re: [RC] Sidebone - Michelle FinkHi Dorothy, I have had a few of my horses x-rayed for various reasons. - MFT, 5, xrayed prior to starting NATRC (he had LTLH and we were verifying shoeing was OK for him), no sidebone. He is 9 now and was xrayed last year by the person who owns him now and still no sidebone. - Icelandic, 7, pleasure horse, has angular limb deformity and toes out badly on one front leg. xrayed when we bought him, no sidebone. - Arab, 4, xrayed for prepurchase no sidebone Only horse (big QH mare) I've had that definitely had sidebone was a mare that lived to 22, she had huge sidebone problems and was beginning to go lame around 17. She was a pasture pony all of her life. She was not xrayed for diagnoses, but the sidebone was palpable (vet's diagnosis).
