[RC] Mare Kicking in Trailer-Need advice - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

My new horse has a terrible habit of kicking in the trailer.
Her previous owner let her hang her head out of the trailer, but
to be fair I understand that she was trailered very few times.
At first she was mostly kicking as I traveled through the canyon between Auburn
and Cool, so I thought I would let her travel with her head out (not something
I am wild about, but better than kicking), but it doesn't make much difference.
But she now kicks randomly. She is kicking hard enough to dent the outside of
the trailer. I hear her squeal and then kick. Sometimes I think she is kicking
with both feet at the same time. If she is hanging her head out I can see her
pin her ears go back in the trailer, squeal and kick. If I open the window and
yell her name sometimes I can get her distracted enough not to do it. She
loads and unloads nicely and doesn't seem particularly agitated to be in the
trailer (not sweaty or scrambling).

Advice please.
