Re: [RC] [RC] one more height comment - Lynne GlazerYeah, "hybrid vigor", right? And it's been pointed out that I can't count, Twix is actually turning 4 months old next Saturday, born on May Day. Which makes her even more outsized. But definitely balanced.I don't like "extremes" in general, and hate how so many Arab breeders promote their stock as "Extreme" or "Extreme Type", sometimes that's so refined as to resemble some fantasy artist's idea of what a horse should be rather than the "using" critters we need. Though I'm always a fan of pretty horses that can "do", nothing wrong with getting the "pretty" in there too. Lynne Ember, Q and Twix waiting for Rob the shoer's arrival--Ember's getting her feet trimmed at 20 weeks since the last time--shoulda been done at 18, but that Equus article made Rob too popular! But it shows what a proper trim can do, allowing the feet to wear properly by themselves; he's been doing my gang since June '03. I sent out a "postcard" to Twix's e-list last night, a roll shot of Ember displaying her dainty tootsies if anyone wants to see what 20 weeks looks like. Makes a huge difference, as you know (pun intended?). So, I guess we can stay friends.
