RE: [RC] [RC] Circulation to the hoof - heidi

I think you can do both.

I think you can have a healthy hoof shod.
I think you can have a crappy hoof unshod (depends on the horse).

Bingo.

Two things to remember:

1) Not all horses (and their hooves, in this case) are created equal.

2) Not all farriers are created equal.

You can make good feet less healthy with bad shoeing, but they will remain
perfectly healthy with good shoeing.

You can help to make bad feet somewhat better with good shoeing.

Bad feet will still be bad feet if left barefoot, although good trimming
will help.

Bottom line--when wear exceeds growth, SOME form of hoof protection is
needed if you intend to continue to work the horse. ALL forms must be
applied correctly to be of benefit and to keep from hurting the horse, and
ANY form can be applied badly and do damage.

Kinda like most other things in life, dontcha think??

Heidi
