I was in that my mare was wearing out the back shoes on steel shoes in 4 weeks, and often wearing nail heads off too so that I would have a loose shoe.  I could not ride on them after that time and wanted more growth inbetween shoeing.  I will take 4 weeks over 2 any day.

broke, don't fix it". :) We have used the GC shoes and I would use them
again but we used them to have the experience of using them so Nelson could
try them on horses that were having trouble with steel shoes. However,
smart choice to wait to experiment. :) And if the steel shoes are working
well, why switch?
