I can understand a new manager thinking they couldn't give awards to a designated person, then after the fact finding out that mailing things would double the cost of their completion awards. A new manager may have been worried that they needed the card for something too. Multiply the cost of a stamp by the number of entries and you'll see how things like that add up fast...not to mention the trouble involved. If I didn't hang around for the awards I'd just figure as long as I got my points and miles I got what I paid for. Now if they don't pay the AERC fees and record the ride results, you'll really have something to be upset about.
