Re: [RC] Getting in the trailer - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Sara Garrett kimohorses@xxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== Ed, I don't agree. You're dealing with a thousand pound animal. You need to be in control of him or he will walk all over you. Too many people are not dominate over their horses. These are the ones that are getting pushed all over the place by their horses. The horses have absolutely NO RESPECT for them. Being afraid of a trailer has nothing to do with disrespect or dominance. It's fear. How many horses have been injured while being forced into trailers? How does TEACHING a horse to load without force equal disrespect or lack of dominance? If you're having to use force, you haven't really got control anyway.
