<How much do
the safety chains help? Do they break? Do most states
require <them? How many people use them? How are they
hooked up?
From person experience,
I can tell you that my old 1978 Miley trailer chains were worthless. They broke
one time in the pasture when I pulled away and the "ball receiver" of the
trailer slipped off the trailer hitch ball. I was only going about 1 mile
per hour with no horses in it yet. I hope my new Logan is better. Still, I was
told by a U-Haul guy, it's a good idea to cross the chains under the hitch
so if it does disengage, it doesn't drag on the ground.
