Don't know what's in it, but I remember wile
growing up in Germany that people gave it to their horses. It's supposed to cure
everything from cough to colic. However, I do remember that it has a very
distinct odor. I stinks really bad, and you want to make sure you don't get it
on your clothes.
I used to live next to a big "jumping" stable, and
we were able to tell when the owner gave the horses Harlem oil, by the smell of
of the manure pile. I am not kidding, that stuff smells wicked!
Also not sure if it is a banned substance, as it
was hard to get a hold of, and our neighbor had a "source" in Holland.
