State Line Tack has a great lightweight blanket - not sure of the exact name, 
but check their website.  It's a lightweight blacket (they may call it a sheet) 
with a nylon shell and a polarfleece-type lining and retails for about $59.  It 
will be waterproof for all but the most persistent and heavy downpours, 
particularly if you spray it with waterproof spray once a year or so.
