RE: [RC] [RC] Sweet itch - Mel CopelandOK-I hope this works-I am a newbie so bear with me!My gelding had sweet itch very bad last year. I figured out the key to keeping him happy was simply keeping the bugs off. I tried all the sprays and nothing worked. I finally found a solution...this is gonna sound a bit off but it does work well. Go buy some insecticidal cow ear tags. Put a small braid in your horse's tail and another in his mane. Attach the ear tags to the braid and you are good to go (WEAR GLOVES). The results were almost immediate with my gelding. I was able to get him to stop scratching and heal up. The tags lasted for a couple of months. It was a little funny to see a grey horse with bright orange tags hanging off his mane and tail, but it was worth the odd looks to have him feeling better. I hope this helps - Cheers! Mel _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger!
