Hi, Jennifer
	I had a terrible time with this problem for many years, and tried 
EVERYTHING. Oddly enough, the thing that worked the best was soaking the 
whole area with a 50/50 mix of cider vinegar and water.  Seemed to 'soothe' 
the itch and discourage the bugs.
	if it doesn't work, at least it's cheap!
