[RC] OrthoFlex - Dot WigginsI've an old one, really early model, that I love. Got it well used almost ten years ago. And so far it has fit everything. Honestly! I've friends with newer models, that worked well, then seemed to cause some back problems. Careful inspection showed one of the flex panels had cracked. Sent it back (to the current company) last fall. Horses were much happier, seems to have been a fix. (They replaced the flex panels, and all the bolts that are part of the flex system.) Such a success they sent the second one, and that came out well also. Seem to fit better now without the blue inserts in the booties. I think the cost was around $300 each, plus shipping. Another friend who had been having a lot of back troubles with several horses talked to the present OF folks, seems some of the later models by the original company used bolts that were not the right lengths. She sent hers to be fixed, bought another different OF she likes that fits well. Haven't heard how the repairs worked for her. I would not trade my old one for any of the newer ones, but that is just my personal preference. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
