Re: [RC] Buck Brannaman - Opinions? - Becky RohwerOh boy, don't get me started. Actually I took my 3 yr old gelding to a Brannamon clinic to start him. We were successful as the gelding was rideable when we were done. I think it was a 4 day thing. If I must be honest about my experience though I will tell you it was no bed of roses. It seemed like I was singled out to be the best example of what not to do. I was pretty much picked on for all 4 days. Well, he did finally back off a little on the last day as I think he was starting to see that I had had just about enough. I tried to keep the attitude that I was there to learn. I was not trying to show him how much I knew as I knew I didn't know much about starting a horse. The man knows his stuff, but he can be hard on his students. Understandably as he doesn't want to see anyone get hurt, but I think he could lighten up a little. JMHO. Just curious, is this a Brannamon style clinic put on my someone who follows his techniques, or will you be working with the Man himself?
