I just got the movie Hidalgo for my birthday. First time I watched it, I
laughed. I have NEVER seen so many horses so well-behaved at the start of
ANY endurance race! Even my well-mannered girl gets wild and acts up!
There were only two horses that even showed their excitement. YEAH
RIGHT!!!
?I also thought about sending Viggo Mortenson a letter asking him if he
was going to attend any Endurance rides in the future after doing this
movie, but I found out that since his rise to popularity from the Lord of
the Rings series, he is no longer accepting fan mail since he can't
possibly answer each letter himself. I don't know if this is a good or
bad thing yet, but it is his life. I saw he is an artist and has done
exhibits for his work. Maybe someone can ask him about it sometime and
pass his answer on to us.
?I don't want to take away from Tevis talk, or turn this into talk about
Frank Hopkins or the movie, just wanted to share a laugh over Hollywood
with those who know better. :0)\
