[RC] Tevis Fees and sponsorship - mrsdHi Everyone. after watching the multiple rebounding of Ride Camp opinions this last week has anyone brought up the fact that Mr. Robie was the original sponsor of the ride. When my wife and I first entered the entry fee was $35.00 including that beautiful silver Buckle. No accounting was ever reported to the public in regards to the cost of the ride. Wendal Robie just wrote a check to cover the costs and nothing was ever said.. We worked at Deadwood this year as I wasn't able to ride. One of the UAE riders came in and was very tired. I helped him by finding water bottles for him. He had lost his and was without water. These riders are no different that the other 120 or so that came into Deadwood. They are endurance riders and the support of their group, that was generously offered and accepted by the Tevis Board was greatly appreciated. It was given in support of this magnificent endeavor. I for one will gladly wear the hat and shirt that was given . If you haven't been to the ride, I feel that it is impossible to understand the complexities and difficulties that are entailed in its presentation. After you have completed the ride, or worked to try and make it work, then your suggestions regarding a fix will be more easily understood.
