[RC] Sponsors AERC Events - hope lundquistHi gang: I was at the Tevis this year. I know first hand that the UAE did their best to make this 50th anniversary of modern day Endurance Riding very special. It is a sport they have adopted also. The Banquet on sunday was very special. The outdoor barbeque area where it is held was dressed up. More picnic tables were brought in. All the tables had white table cloths. Flowers on all the tables. Gold confetti with 50th on them. The best of all were 100's of boxes of gourmet stuffed dates. The boxes were special made with Arabic and English printing. I don't have a box in front of me right now. It states in honor of the 50th Tevis.....These boxes are a collectors item. anyway I am keeping mine when the dates are all gone. Very delicious dates.
I understand concern about sponsors. All sports worth their salt have sponsors. Look at all those beer signs at Baseball, Basketball, Hockey,Rodeo etc. How do they deal with it? Maybe we could have a rotating Ad-Hoc Committee to over see this group?
