[RC] In response to Christoph - Marj Pryor

In response to Christoph-

I just want to say that if you had known Wendell Robie you would know why
people are upset
about the commercialism of the sponsorship.  However, Wendell is dead.
Today is today and times have changed.  Somethings for the better and some
for the worse.  Wendell would have NEVER allowed that to happen.  But, he
bought the buckles and shouldered the expenses.  When I got my first buckle
the entry was $50 and the buckle was solid silver.  (And, I entered when I
got to Squaw Valley) Wendell was strongly opinionated and had integrity
about what he believed in.  It was "his" ride.  Again I say, times have
changed and Wendell is dead but there are some of us that still remember!
And to Maryanne.  You can have one of my buckles.  You deserve it!!!
