Re: [RC] Tevis Sponsorship - rides2farI would ask those who are complaining about the UAE if they would be willing to pay an entry fee that covers all the cost so that no sponsorship will ever be needed. I think I know the answer to that one...And Oh BTW when they only get 150 entries vs. 250 are you willing to pony up the extra $ to cover shortfall that the ride has to suffer. You make me wonder how they had 49 years of competitions without all that outside help. :-P Granted, the scope of what goes on at Tevis is way past my understanding, but I've gotten a buckle at a ride that I paid $55 to enter...and as a manager I know there was a certain number of riders (about 60) above which the majority of the entry fee became gravy...until you got to the point of hiring one more vet. Yeah, I know we didn't need helicoptors & such, but 250 is an awful lot of riders at the highest entry fee I know of in an AERC competition. I wonder how the Big Horn gets by with a handful of entries and no corporate sponsors? I know they didn't save *that* much on flagging. >eg< Angie ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the Internet in years - Juno SpeedBand!
