[RC] Choosing Btwn Horses - Decision Made! - Aaron TurnageThank you to everyone who replied to my question of possibly getting a new horse. A few people did suggest I puchase the new one and keep my current horse but I just can do that. My husband would kill me (yes, literally I believe) and my son is only 2 yrs old so not quite old enough to sell on the "market" yet. =) I have decided to keep my current much loved boy Sinatra (my pinto). This horse really has my heart and I just can't really imagine parting with him right now. He has already proven himself to be a reliable 50 mile horse and I believe will also have the potential to do 100's. I "think" he will not be a top-ten horse because his easy working gaits are not overly fast, but he is very consistent. But I have not allowed him to truely go as fast as he wants to at a ride. He's only 6 and in his second season; he doesn't need to be going fast at this point. Plus this horse has just the BEST personality. He can be a bit "naughty" at times (like when he tries to unload me by bucking at 35 miles into a ride), but he is also one of the sweetest boys. And he thinks he's a big dog. He begs for treats and plays with sticks. I should teach him how to fetch! =) So thanks again to everyone, hope to see you on the trail. You can't miss us! Chestnut overo pinto with two blue eyes.
