[RC] Bighorn 100 - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: joyce anderson farmountainjoyce@xxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== I do know the Bighorn trail well & don't personally care how it is marked, or if it is marked - the maps this year were excellent & the trail had 90 miles of first class marking - the blinking red night lights were GREAT! There were a few miles that were not marked; & yes, some years it is a bit of an orienting experience, but.. this one ride still embodies the essence of endurance to me - a true cross country course that actually GOES SOMEWHERE while most rides now are road loops back thru a central point 3, 4, 5 times. I love the thrill of a horse pulling at end of a tough 100 miles because they KNOW they are taking you home. I love the solitude & space of a ride without hundreds of people fighting for trail space. I truly appreciate every effort the Bighorn folks take to ensure a great ride & if it is a bit of a challange - at least it is over world class country with safe trails and I want to THANK THEM ALL for their efforts in putting on a REAL 100 mile ride !! ~ joyce anderson, Bighorn Supporter =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
