Re: [RC] [RC] Anyone tried the Limpet Pad? - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Nicole z_arabs@xxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== I have been interested in the Limpet saddle pad ever since I saw them at the Western States Horse Expo and am wondering if anyone has tried them for endurance. They are endorsed by Linda Tellington Jones and Pat Parelli and are supposed to reduce friction and breathe. They are less expensive than the Equipedic and Supracor too. I have one that I purchased years ago at the Equine Affaire. I have not used it for endurance, since just using it in the arena I felt it was holding heat as the horses were really sweating a lot. It just *looks* hot to me, but maybe I'm being too quick to judge? Maybe I'll try it again. However, unless they've changed the style drastically since I bought mine (possible), I wouldn't use it for a treeless saddle since it has no channel down the center. Mine's a dressage pad. ~Nicole =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
