[RC] The real "poop" on porta potties for a trailer - Karen CasemierI've decided that I really need to get a porta potty for my trailer (we do not have living quarters). I'd like to keep it in my trailer dressing room or even in the main part of the trailer while camping.I've seen a few on Cabelas's site, and some other places, but to be honest, I'm not sure... how they work. I don't know how to ask this kind of thing delicately, so I'll just come out with it - how do I dispose of the stuff that is "deposited" into the potty? And how often do I need to do that? Can I use the potty all weekend, or will I need to empty the contents? Anyone who is brave enough to tell me how these different portable toilets work, please speak up! I'm looking primarily for something to use for weekend camping (I hate having to crawl out of the tent and tromp 1/2 a mile to the outhouse in the middle of the night) and for day use at areas that do not have toilets. Any suggestions for specific models are also appreciated. I'm looking for something with the minimal amount of "ew gross" factor. Thanks! _________________________________________________________________ Planning a family vacation?
