Course you know why english riders wear a stock tie and a belt? The stock tie is for bandaging and a belt doubles as a stirrups leather if one breaks.Helmets protect their brains, and tight pants keep you from getting hung up. And you have to wear collared shirts even if just polos for hacking ,as the collar keeps your neck from being burned.(cause your hair is up in a bun!!!)

Well Howard, I can tell you, a bra works better; happened to us on one ride.
One mare kicked another;spurting blood on inside of leg. Friend whipped off
her bra and used it.
