[RC] boots for trail riding - A. PerezSeems like people are pretty casual about riding footwear these days. I regularly ride in cheap running shoes. They are big enough that it is unlikely that I could get my foot through the stirrup (one can use a cage, or safety stirrups, if worried about that), and they are light, comfortable, cheap and dry fairly quickly. I also ride in a pair of cheap short lace-up leather boots not designed for riding (though they look like 'paddock' boots.
