Re: [RC] Gold Country ride - rides2far. Yes, we got our "participation" awards when we picked up our ride packets, but I'll call it a completion award because we did. Some of you will think I'm a weird nit-picker, but though I want to get my shirt or whatever *after* I complete...and I want it to be a "completion" award, I have no problem with a ride manager handing a shirt to a person who pulled as a gift, consolation, or whatever. Or with ride management selling extra t-shirts to crews or whatever. It's just that I want the award I get to be for my completion, because on a day when a completion was a challenge for your horse, and you set your goal and you met it, the completion award is as important to you as a "1st place" award is to the person who set that as their goal for first place and met it. Completion awards are as important as placement to make a ride complete.
