Right again. My very docile horse Zab, who is my lesson horse and is very kind and gentle, was BONKERS last winter when he sprained a ligament and had to be confined to the round pen for 2 months. You should see my round pen. It's all mashed on top from him hurling his body at it! He really wanted out, but we didn't want an injury to become a full blown tear. It was tough on both of us, but he made it and so did I. And now he is back to his sweet natured self. I gave him some stall toys which helped a bit, and took him off almost all grain and just kept plenty of hay before him to keep him occupied. and I took him out twice a day for handwalking. chris ===== "A good horse makes short miles," George Eliot Chris and Star BayRab Acres http://pages.prodigy.net/paus =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
