Re: [RC] trailer shopping and questions - Chris PausIt weighs empty about 4800. I'm looking at the 2H one. There is a rear tack room in the trailer. Here's another group of pictures that show the interior nicely. http://www.dhmco.com/dixieTrailRider2.htm Here's the floorplan. It does show a walk thru in the LQ model. Yes, it's a bare bones model, but I like things fairly simple! Thanks for your comments! chris --- firedancefarms <firedancefarms@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Chris, I don't know the details about this trailer..they've cut a lot of corners in the horse part, but hey, IMO they get destroyed the minute you get home, so I don't care. As long as it is SAFE. I would be curious how much it weighs. We bought ours for about 10K, a 4 horse, 20ft, with nothing in the living area maybe seven years ago. We converted it ourselves for about $1000, but if I was in the market, I'd sure take a serious look at this one. I like the living area. It is close to the way we did ours. All we found we needed was a sink. And lots of HOOKS, which I don't see,but you can add. Plus ours does not have AC (not that I'd ever use it). A question..in the photos it shows a door from the horses to the camper, but in the LQ there is no door. Might want to check that out, because if you do the LQ you can't have a door. We don't have a door, and I've never missed it at all. Much rather have the cabinet space! I also don't see anything about a tack room. In six years we will buy another one. Next time a three horse, 20 ft, with bigger LQ because it will just be the two of us again :( Retirement isn't for another ten years though!
