Re: [RC] [RC] Tevis - headlamps??? - MarineraI would really like to hear more opinions on headlamps and the Tevis trail. I have found a beam from a headlamp terribly distracting to both the horse and rider to the point of making one almost nauseous. The horse tends to focus on the beam gyrating in front of him and less attention to the ground at his feet. Three glow sticks on the breast collar and a small flashlight in your pommel bag in case you have a problem are the best arrangement I have found. I don't want to be anywhere near a rider with a head lamp. I am interested in what others think Julie Suhr =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
