[RC] Multiday rides with multiple horses - Jennifer Layman

All,
 
I really would like to take two horses to Bryce Canyon this year.  My girls are real attached to each other and I am very worried about leaving one behind.  Especially, the first couple days.  I do it all the time at home, but the one left behind is at home and usually settles down pretty quickly. I am not sure this would be the case at a ride.   I will likely have friends in camp this year to keep an eye on the one left behind, but this whole scenario still makes me nervous.
 
Does anyone with experience in this have any recommendations for managing this problem, or ways to work on this at home before going?
